This crazy record was a cyber collaboration betwixt former Utopia/David Bowie synth guru Roger Powell and a producer/musician friend of mine, Gary Tanin. Gary approached me with the idea of applying some of my troubling, noisemaking acumen to the project. The idea we had was, over these cosmic, synth soundscapes, let's intentionally insert bone fide, roots guitar allusions from the likes of Albert King to Chet Atkins and see what happens. The result is a really cool listen. It is a Roger Powell record so those who expect to hear my fingers flailing about may be disappointed but those interested in an interesting record, you'll dig it!
